Educational Trails Between the Village Square and Protected Nature

The “Hradčovice–Drslavice” educational trail is five kilometers long and focuses on natural history. Its stations provide visitors and passersby with information about the area’s valuable fauna and flora. In good weather, the trail also offers views of the Poolšaví landscape. The educational trail runs along the Rovná Hora Nature Reserve. The protected area lies 1.3 kilometers north of Hradčovice in the cadastral area of Lhotka and preserves a species-rich population of endangered insects, especially butterflies.

For a different trail idea, the well-signposted “Po hranici devíti katastrů” educational trail can be accessed from Hradčovice. It is approximately nine kilometers long and is also suitable for cycling tourism. This allows you to choose between a shorter route explicitly focused on natural history and a longer educational trail that is also described as suitable for exploring by bicycle. The two trails have different focuses, while Hradčovice retains its village-based starting point.

Lhotka: Lookout Tower and Views of the Carpathians

The municipality of Hradčovice includes the local part of Lhotka. There stands a 35-meter-high lookout tower, with its viewing platform at a height of 18 meters. From the top, there are views of the White Carpathians and Velká Javořina mountain. Together with the Rovná Hora Nature Reserve, Lhotka thus forms a distinct landscape focus within an exploration of Hradčovice: here, the emphasis is not on information panels and the course of the trail, but on elevation, distant views and the protected insect life.

All Saints Church and Traces of Local History

The All Saints parish church in Hradčovice stands on the site of the original cemetery grounds. These were surrounded by a wall with pillars set in front of it. The All Saints Church is an oriented single-nave building with a rectangular floor plan, a short transept and a set-back three-sided chancel. A four-sided bell tower is attached to the façade. The oldest construction phase dates back to the 13th century.

Another historical trace leads back to the year 1360: at that time, a fortress in Hradčovice is documented as being owned by Oneš ze Šarova.

Hradčovice has a railway station on line 341 between Staré Město u Uherského Hradiště and the Vlárský průsmyk, as well as on the Újezdec u Luhačovic–Luhačovice line.
