Hustenovice combines an illustrative local history with a short exploration route by the water. The focal point is the neo-Gothic church “Kostel sv. Church, local history and living tradition

The “Kostel sv. Anny” is a single-nave, oriented building with a rectangular floor plan. The presbytery is set back and ends in an apse; two single-storey rectangular annexes are located on the north and south sides. The “Kateřinské hody s právem” also form part of Hustenovice’s cultural character. The tradition has existed there since 1923 and takes place around the name day of Saint Catherine on 25 November. The Muzeum Huštěnovice

The Muzeum Huštěnovice displays objects used in agricultural and craft activities, as well as in household work. The kitchen, living room, washroom and barn illustrate the rural homes and lives of the local population in the 1920s and 1930s. A visit therefore focuses on specific rooms and everyday objects rather than on an abstract depiction of times gone by.

From May to September, the Muzeum Huštěnovice can be visited on Sundays from 3 to 5 p.m. or by telephone appointment. For planning your excursion, the seasonal period is therefore particularly important; outside these Sunday hours, a telephone appointment is required.

Educational trail along the Baťův kanál

The “Naučná stezka Huštěnovice” begins at a landing stage on the Baťův kanál east of Huštěnovice. The 0.5-kilometre route has five stops and is suitable for pedestrians. Cyclists and waterway travellers travelling along the Baťův kanál can also reach the educational trail. This makes it possible to discover the same place from different perspectives of movement, without a long distance being documented for this purpose.

The area of the “Naučná stezka Huštěnovice” is also a breeding ground for nightingales. This detail complements the cultural and historical destinations with a specific opportunity to observe nature and makes the educational trail an experience in its own right alongside the church and museum.
