Malečov is mentioned in 1057 in the founding charter of the Litoměřice chapter as Malešův dvůr. At that time, the settlement comprised six homesteads and a garden. A prominent landmark is the Church of Panny Marie Pomocnice křesťanů in Čeřeniště. It stands on a steep slope on an artificially created terrace. Other religious buildings provide additional insight into different construction periods: The Chapel of Saint Anthony of Padua was built in 1932 and restored in 1994. The Church of Narození sv. Jana Křtitele is a single-nave plastered building; its masonry combines rubble stone with local basalt. The chronological span thus extends from the mention of Malečov in 1057 to the restoration of the chapel in 1994 and connects several historical eras.

Hiking, Views and Horse Riding

The nearby Lucemburkův kopec lookout tower is a four-storey wooden tower standing 14.3 metres high. To return from a hike to Lucemburkův kopec, you can take bus 453 from Malečov. A blue-marked hiking trail also leads towards Malečov.
