Discover Míchov: Landscape, Cycling Routes and Local History

Míchov is shaped by two streams and the Boskovická brázda landscape depression. The Semíč stream flows through Míchov, which lies near its course on the right bank. The Míchovský potok also flows through Míchov. The two streams therefore run through the village, while Míchov is also located in the Boskovická brázda landscape depression. The nature around Míchov is unspoiled and picturesque.

Waters and landscape around Míchov

A distinctive landmark is Míchovský rybník. This significant body of water lies in the centre of Míchov and shapes the character of the village centre. Unlike Semíč and Míchovský potok, which flow through Míchov, the pond is explicitly located in the centre. The village landscape therefore contains a central pond and two streams flowing through the village, situated in different locations. The Boskovická brázda provides the landscape context in which these bodies of water are situated.

Cycling routes with different orientations

Cycling Route 5224 begins in Míchov and continues eastwards via the locality of Pod Bačov towards Ve Lhotkách. Míchov is the starting point for this route; Pod Bačov lies along its further course, while Ve Lhotkách indicates the easterly direction. The marked Cycling Route 5163 runs through the Míchov area between Podolí and Boskovice. For Route 5224, the described route therefore begins in the village and continues eastwards. On Route 5163, Míchov lies on the stretch between Podolí and Boskovice. Pod Bačov forms part of the first cycling route, while Podolí and Boskovice are mentioned as reference points for the second.
