The column stands on the road to Suchodol approximately 300 to 400 meters northeast of the edge of Občov, between two lime trees. This approximate distance describes its location, not walking time or any specific form of accessibility. Watercourse and Traditional Landscape

The Občovský potok stream is part of the landscape context. It flows from Občov northeast toward the municipality of Suchodol. According to local tradition, Občov is said to have originated from an isolated farmstead in an open oak and beech forest where sheep were kept. This tradition supplements the documented local history with a vivid image of the presumed early settlement landscape. The watercourse broadens the view beyond the monuments and connects the history of the village with the surrounding landscape.
