Views, walks and the Brdy forests

The landscape around Vševily offers views and sightlines that invite you to go for walks and explore the surroundings. This description does not focus on a single route, but on the village’s open landscape character. In addition, the deep Brdy forests offer opportunities for cycling. Thus, two different ways of exploring the surroundings come together: walks with sightlines across the landscape and cycling through the extensive forests of the Brdy Mountains.

Culture between monument and exhibition

One of the most precise cultural points of reference is the Chapel of St. John of Nepomuk with a cast-iron cross on a stone pedestal. It is a protected immovable cultural monument with the registration number ÚSKP 14358/2-2600. The name and registration number give the small structure a clearly defined cultural and historical classification.

GALERIE 10 adds a different cultural accent. It is an exhibition space for artworks in Vševily and is located in the stairwell leading to the municipal library. The exhibitions generally change three to four times a year. This changing rhythm is an independent characteristic of the gallery: it is not an unchanging presentation, but an exhibition venue with regularly refreshed displays.

Viticulture at an elevation of 594 metres

Viticulture also gives Vševily an unusual local theme. The Chateau Aureus Vševily vineyard is a small, sunny site behind the municipal office. Its history is closely linked to its special elevation. In 1995, Chateau Aureus Vševily began collecting information about suitable grape varieties for the unusual elevation of 594 metres in the southern Brdy Mountains.

The first wine from Chateau Aureus Vševily was bottled in 2002. This makes the development easy to trace chronologically: the search for suitable grape varieties was followed several years later by the first bottling. Anyone who wants to get to know a place through regional products and their origins will find a concrete connection here between landscape, elevation and viticulture, without needing to assume the presence of a larger wine region.

Private quarry and diving courses

A distinctly different aspect is the private Vševily quarry. From 2016 onward, it was made accessible for introductory dives and courses through the Lucky Diving diving club and diving school; access is via the Lucky-Diving diving club. The connection to the club and diving school is therefore an integral part of the description of this experience.
