Jedomělice: Džbán Nature Park, White Dictamnus and Cycling Routes

Two documented routes are available as a guide for bicycle trips. A 9 km cycling route leads from Pozdeň via Jedomělice to Hájovna and continues to Dubový rybník before returning to Pozdeň. The 9 km cycling route follows roads and a forest path. A second, 17 km cycling route leads from Jedomělice through Lotouš, Neprobylice, Kutrovice, Kvílice, Plchov and Pozdeň, following field and forest paths. The two routes therefore differ both in length and surface. Village Center and Medieval Traces

Jedomělice was first mentioned in a written document in 1316. The original historic center of Jedomělice consists of agricultural farmsteads grouped around a widened village street. The history is therefore reflected not only in a single date but also in the structure of the village. The history of the Ostrov fortification is also part of the local tradition: in 1413, it was mentioned that part of what was then called Dědomilice belonged to the Ostrov fortification. The Ostrov fortification site is separated from the farmyard by a ditch. The village landscape and the fortification site thus bring together the established form of a historic village center and a specific reference to the medieval past.
