Historical Traces in Olší and Its Localities

Olší brings together natural surroundings and cultural history within a compact narrative setting. At its heart is the Church of St. George in Olší, a state-protected cultural monument. Its core dates from the 15th century; at the same time, its prismatic tower has preserved a fortified character. As a former inn, it is not described as a current establishment; historically noteworthy, however, are its preserved original layout from 1734 and its present form, which it acquired in 1929. These distinct chronological layers are precisely what make Litava a separate element of the cultural landscape around Olší.

Olší lies on the edge of the Svratecká hornatina Nature Park. This specific connection to the landscape complements the historic destinations with a natural setting, without requiring the individual sights to be treated as a single complex. The Doubravník–Bozinka–Maňová–Litava–Olší–Sejřek–Doubravník route connects several place and landscape names in a longer linear itinerary. By contrast, the Olší–Košíkov–along the Loučka–Šafránkův Mlýn–Trenckova rokle–Drahonín–Olší Shaft–Hájenka–Bor–Sejřek–Olší tourist circuit returns to Olší. Its name explicitly indicates its circular form. Both routes are designated as tourist routes; this does not imply any further information about trail conditions, opening hours or access.
