Nové Dvory U Doksan: History, Ohře Landscape and Cycling Routes

Nové Dvory U Doksan combines historical traces with an agricultural landscape shaped by the Ohře and concrete opportunities for finding your way by bicycle. The first written mention of Nové Dvory dates from 1451. This creates a destination whose character is shaped both by its history and by river landscapes, biocorridors and signposted routes.

Cultural Monuments and Historical Traces

The Boží muka in Nové Dvory is particularly distinctive. This stone Renaissance wayside cross or wayside shrine dates from the second half of the 16th century and is listed as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic. The listed wayside shrine is located near house number 10 in Nové Dvory. One cycling route connects the Ohře Cycle Route with the Elbe Cycle Route and runs along existing farm tracks. In addition, Nové Dvory is linked to the Ohře Cycle Route in regional transport planning. Two documented circular tours provide concrete guidance when choosing a loop.

The 33.0 km circular cycling tour starts in Roudnice nad Labem and leads via Budyně nad Ohří, Chotěšov, Brozany nad Ohří, Doksany, Nové Dvory and Chvalín back to Roudnice nad Labem. The 42.0 km cycling loop also starts and ends in Roudnice nad Labem, but runs via Chvalín, Nové Dvory, Doksany, Brozany nad Ohří, Bohušovice nad Ohří, Terezín, Litoměřice, Křešice, Lounky, Černěves and Vědomice.
