Between Hradisko, Skřípov and Hunivky

Velké Hostěrádky combines striking landscapes with traces of a long local history. The wooded Hradisko hill is associated with the former medieval fortress of Velké Hostěrádky. According to oral tradition, two princesses of Dirtenstein had a church built at the site of the castle that is now known as Hradisko. This tradition adds to the hill's historical character without equating the former fortress with a present-day structure.

The village itself also offers a tangible example of cultural heritage: the building of the Post Inn No. 74 is one of the immovable cultural monuments of Velké Hostěrádky. The Natura 2000 site Svatá a Prostřední vrch extends into the northern part of the cadastral area of Velké Hostěrádky. The Hunivky watercourse flows through the southern built-up part of Velké Hostěrádky. Together, these features create a local landscape in which protected natural areas, a watercourse, a valley and inhabited areas form clearly distinguishable points of interest for travel planning.

Nature trail and cycling route for active days

The Pestrá krajina nature trail offers its own way to explore the surroundings thematically. It is seven kilometres long, has six information panels and is lined with fruit trees. The trail is marked in mapping applications and is used by schools, families and tourists for excursions.
