Cycling on a family-friendly circular route

One specific activity is the 26.7-kilometre Mikulov–Nový Přerov–Mikulov cycling circuit. The route passes through Mikulov, Březí, Dobré Pole and Nový Přerov, thereby providing a clearly defined connection between several places. The circular route runs mostly away from motorised traffic. Animal encounters and evidence of village history

The wine tradition is also documented by a specific event. On 3 May 2025, the Winemakers’ Association organised the 26th edition of the traditional wine exhibition in Nový Přerov. This date refers to a past event and should not be understood as an indication of a current date.

Steppe vegetation north of the village

North of Nový Přerov lie steppes with halophilic vegetation. This technical term refers to plant communities adapted to saline conditions. This aspect of the landscape therefore differs significantly from an ordinary agricultural or winegrowing area.

On Přerovský vrch near the Austrian border, there are notable examples of steppe vegetation with protected thermophilous flora. In addition, a proposal to designate the Lange Wart area as a natural monument has been announced. The area currently covers approximately 2 hectares; the plant communities of dry grasslands as well as specially protected plant and animal species are to be protected. The designation should therefore be understood as an announced proposal, not as an already completed protection status.
