Hiking, cycling, and a route suitable for strollers

A more extensive tour is the “Cesta přírodou pod Borotínem” route. It is of moderate difficulty, 11 kilometres long, and can be used for hiking, cycling, or with a stroller. The route is estimated to take around three hours. This makes it possible to plan a longer active outing without limiting the tour to a single mode of transport.

As a shorter alternative, the easy “Za cetkovickými kříži” route is a good option. It is 6.7 kilometres long and takes around one hour and 50 minutes. This route is also intended for hiking, cycling, or use with a stroller. Its distinctive character comes from the eleven crosses in the surroundings of Cetkovice: They serve as waymarkers during the walk and are also examples of small-scale sacred architecture. Sacred architecture and historical details

The present-day parish church of St. Philip and St. James in Cetkovice was built in 1699–1700. Inside, a stone baptismal font from 1591 has been preserved to this day. Together, the construction date and the surviving furnishing provide two different historical reference points: The present church dates from the late 17th century, while the baptismal font points to an earlier period.

Another notable site is Fara Cetkovice. It was originally built in 1762 as a summer residence and is an immovable, state-protected monument. The coat of arms of Pavel Ferdinand Václavík has survived at the entrance to this day. The designation as a protected monument describes its documented status; it is not a statement about current visiting opportunities. Fara thus complements the church and wayside crosses with another historical element in the village landscape.

Farma CH in the municipality of Cetkovice also has its own focus. The equestrian centre combines horse breeding with riding lessons and recreational rides for children and adults. Alongside the two routes and the sacred sites, this provides an activity involving horses that is aimed at different age groups.

The history of the village also includes the former Cetkovice railway stop. It was built in 1899, formed part of the local railway line, and served passenger traffic for the municipality and its surroundings. Today, the former stop is no longer in operation.
