Cerna V Posumavi on Lake Lipno
Černá v Pošumavà combines the landscape of Lake Lipno with diverse opportunities for active days, nature experiences, culture and events. The town is located in the Šumava Protected Landscape Area on the left bank of Lake Lipno, specifically at its widest point. This brings together a waterscape and protected nature – two different focal points that you can take into account when choosing your accommodation and excursions.
Trails by the water and activities on Lake Lipno
A predominantly mixed-use, 740 m long route for pedestrians and cyclists runs along Lake Lipno from the centre of ÄŒerná v PoÅ¡umavà below the wastewater treatment plant and continues under gardens. It then connects to the ÄŒerná v PoÅ¡umavÖHůrka walking and cycling path. For an outing with different age groups, this route therefore offers a clearly described course between the town centre, the lakeshore and the onward connection.
There are also several possibilities on the water. Fishing from boats is possible on Lake Lipno; boats can be rented at several locations. Camp Jestřábà offers pedal boat rentals. The Lipno Windsurfing school in Černá v Pošumavà offers individual lessons, and the necessary equipment can also be rented there. The Adventure Park in Černá v Pošumavà has a high ropes course.
Windy Point and the landscape around the town
Windy Point is a sandy beach with a cocktail bar on Lake Lipno and offers activities for children. Admission to Windy Point beach is free. This makes it possible to combine time by the water with an outing focused not only on the lake but also on a specific offering for younger visitors.
For routes through the landscape, there is the Jestřábà circuit in the immediate surroundings of ÄŒerná v PoÅ¡umavÃ. The Horem Lesem route leads over Mount LÃskovec and through Velké Bahno and Novolhotský les. The Velké Bahno area comprises extensive spruce-alder stands in various stages of development, as well as significant flora and vegetation. The Rybářská baÅ¡ta, with an exhibition about fishing and hunting, is also located in the vicinity of ÄŒerná v PoÅ¡umavÃ.
Culture and seasonal events
The local culture includes the statue of Saint John of Nepomuk, which stands next to the western façade of the church.
