Plánicka – Nature, Routes and Local History
Plánicka: Nature, Routes and Local History
Plánicka combines a protected body of water, diverse trails and a long local history. Key destinations include the Pláničský rybník nature reserve, the family cycling route through Plánička, the easy 26 km Naučná stezka Světlík trekking route and the settlement, which dates back to 1530. This makes it possible to combine peaceful nature experiences, active excursions and a historical connection.
The Pláničský rybník
The Pláničský rybník is a nature reserve. It protects valuable populations of aquatic and shoreline vegetation as well as characteristic aquatic and wetland animals. Priority is given to protecting the population of the critically endangered aquatic plant stulík malý. The natural area therefore encompasses not only the water surface, but also the shoreline areas and the habitats associated with them. Anyone wishing to combine nature observation and activity in Plánička will find a particularly clearly defined focal point of the settlement here.
Trails with Different Focal Points
The “Klidová trasa z Horní Plané na Olšinu” leads from Muckov in the direction of Plánička and then continues to Bližná. The Naučná stezka Olšina is an interesting point on this route, which runs towards Plánička. The route connects Muckov, Plánička and Bližná in a clear sequence, making the trail easy to follow for orientation during an excursion.
The Naučná stezka Světlík is an easy trekking route with a length of 26 km. It leads through Muckov, Světlík, Pasovary, the Bobovec bog, the Pláničský rybník, Jámy and Plánička. The length provides a clear basis for planning a day trip, while the succession of locations and landscape areas creates variety. The Bobovec bog and the nature reserve at the Pláničský rybník thus bring different nature themes together along the same route.
Cycling, Refreshments and History
The family cycling route “Rodinná cyklotrasa přes dva převozy: Frymburk-Plánička-Vltavice-Frýdava” passes through Plánička. It provides a separate focus alongside the trekking routes and is one of the specific ways to experience the settlement by bicycle. Plánička is also a refreshment stop on the route and lies 300 m off the trail in the direction of Frymburk. This short detour can be taken into account when planning a cycling excursion.
The Penzion Plánička restaurant offers specialties inspired by Czech and international cuisine, including trout and salmon. It also has an outdoor terrace overlooking the forest. Together with the cycling and trekking routes, this creates a local option for a break between active stages. The settlement of Plánička dates back to 1530 and complements the nature and route themes with a historical aspect.
