Třemošná between the Stream and Local History

Třemošná lies in a broad, elongated depression through the middle of which the Třemošenka stream flows. Třemošná is home to the birthplace of the important Czech painter Václav Brožík. He was born on 5 March 1851 in Hamr, in house no. 57 in Třemošná. The four-sided chapel on the village square in Třemošná was built from 1853 to 1855 and consecrated on 14 June 1857.

Another significant date is associated with the railway bridge over the Třemošenka: It was put into operation on 1 May 1872 and built by the Italian master builder Pietro Righini. Together with the birthplace and chapel, it creates a clear focus on cultural history for your stay. The three historic sites each provide a different emphasis: The birthplace recalls Václav Brožík, the chapel belongs to the village square, and the railway bridge adds transport history to the local context.

Cycling Path and Year-Round Ice Skating

The 4-km Plzeň-Bolevec–Třemošná cycling path leads from Bolevec railway station to Třemošná through pleasant, wooded surroundings. The station building or shelter at Třemošná u Plzně station is wheelchair accessible.

Sport Aréna Třemošná offers public ice skating and operates its ice rink year-round. The 54th Třemošenská padesátka is also scheduled for Saturday, 3 October 2026. The start and finish are at the KČT clubhouse in the TJ Tatran Třemošná complex; the event includes routes for hikers and cycling tourists.
