The Na skalách natural monument reveals a special geological process. Its purpose is to protect manifestations of the transgression of Cenomanian sandstone from the Cretaceous over Ordovician quartzites. Put simply, rocks from different geological eras meet here in a documented geological formation. The geological terms refer to two different geological eras: Cenomanian sandstone belongs to the Cretaceous, while Ordovician quartzites are considerably older. The protected feature thus describes a specific sequence of rocks within the protected landscape area. The walkable path leads more than 250 m from the road and complements the natural site with a route of its own. This makes it possible to plan the visit as an independent nature excursion, rather than treating the geological feature merely as a name on a map.

Rabštejnek and the village centre

The outdoor areas of the Rabštejnek castle ruins are publicly accessible all year round. Visitors who would like to learn more about the historic site can also arrange guided tours of the outdoor and indoor areas throughout the year by prior appointment. This distinction is important for planning: the outdoor area is publicly accessible, while a tour of both areas must be arranged in advance.
