Černotín: Heights, Limestone and the Bečva

Černotín combines distinctly sloping terrain with unusually tangible limestone and local history. The terrain of Černotín descends from Hluzovský kopec at 365 m above sea level southwards to the Bečva valley at 250 m above sea level. In addition, a 3 m-wide connection runs along the Hluzovský potok to the Bečva Cycling Route in Černotín. The local connection along the Hluzovský potok complements the supraregional route with its own section within the cadastral area. Church, Statue and Event

The village itself also offers notable historical reminders. The statue of Panny Marie Hostýnské in Černotín was erected as a votive offering in 1903. The parish church of Saints Cyril and Methodius in Černotín was built in 1868 by the builder Alois Jambor from Hranice to commemorate the millennium of the arrival of Cyril and Methodius in Moravia.
