Markvartovice – Village Character between Opava and Ostrava

Markvartovice combines a peaceful village character with a location in the Hlučínsko region between the Opava River and today’s state border with Poland, in the area between Opava and Ostrava. Combining landscape and history, the Areál opevnění Darkovičky nature trail begins in Markvartovice at the MO-S 16 Rozcestí infantry bunker. In addition, the Pumprtack Marvartovice pump track was expanded from a small circuit into a larger pump-track area. Depending on your preferred itinerary, you can choose between a route through the built-up village, a route running north, a nature trail with historical connections and a specially developed circuit.
