Radl combines an approximately 7-kilometre adventure trail, a protected natural area and remarkable village culture. The range therefore extends from active exploration on foot or by bicycle to sandstone sculptures, a church and a chapel. Adventure Trails for Different Interests

The approximately 7-kilometre Eldorádlo adventure trail is intended for pedestrians and cyclists and can be started at any location in Rádlo. The starting point is therefore not limited to a single place. Eldorádlo includes 12 themed rest and activity stations. In addition, the Stezka Veverky Berty children’s route offers its own playful activities: children can solve tasks and complete a crossword puzzle there. The route thus combines exercise with several themed stops and a section specifically designed for children.

A shorter discovery experience is offered by the Naučná stezka Rádlo educational trail. It is approximately 500 metres long, runs through the centre of the municipality of Rádlo and includes seven stations covering botany, ecology and zoology. Compared with the longer adventure trail, this path focuses on natural history topics and a compact route in the municipal centre. The two options have different focuses, so you do not have to commit to just one way of exploring the area.

Nature within the Built-Up Area

The Přírodní památka Rádlo protected natural area lies within the built-up area of Rádlo and covers 3.5 hectares. Its protected landscape includes sedge wetlands as well as adjacent waterlogged stands of alder and birch. The area protects rare and endangered plant and animal species. This contrast is noteworthy when choosing accommodation: natural history topics are not found only in a distant landscape here, but are part of the described surroundings of the municipal area.

Village Square, Church and Sandstone Sculptures

The Getsemanská zahrada, a protected ensemble of sandstone sculptures, is located on the village square in Rádlo. It stands directly next to the Church of the Most Holy Trinity, which is considered the landmark of the village square. The present-day Neo-Baroque church was built in 1931 to a design by the Jablonec architect Karel Rössler and extended in 1948. At the end of 2014, replicas of the sculptures from the Getsemanská zahrada were ceremonially unveiled on the village square next to the church. This place thus brings together protected sculptures, a distinctive church building and a documented recent addition to the ensemble.

The Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows

The Chapel of Panny Marie Bolestné (Sedmibolestné) stands in the settlement of Milíře. It is the oldest surviving monument in this part of Rádlo. The fully restored, protected sandstone Chapel of Panny Marie Bolestné stands at a crossroads of hiking trails near the Císařský kámen lookout tower and is a popular stop for visitors from the surrounding area. It therefore complements the cultural sites on the village square with another heritage-protected location at a trail junction.
