The settlement of Vlastiboř was established during the Czech colonization of the area around Železný Brod in the 14th and 15th centuries. The first written mention of Vlastiboř is dated to copies of the tax registers of the Návarov estate from 1565. These copies of the tax registers mention seven farmers in the village of Wlastiborz.

A partisan sculpture group stands by the Sokolovna in Vlastiboř. From there, a green-marked hiking trail leads via a forester’s hut to the partisan dugout.
