Cultural history with unusual details

The “Galerie a muzeum M. D. Rettigové” features an interactive exhibition about the life and work of M. D. Rettigová. It also displays contemporary furniture from her time as well as historical artefacts. The “České vesnice” exhibition explores the history of agriculture and documents everyday life in Czech villages in the 19th and 20th centuries. Its scope therefore ranges from one individual personality to broader questions of rural life.

Another historical highlight is the “kostel sv. Bartolomeje” church in Všeradice. It was built sometime in the 14th century; the oldest surviving bell was cast in 1497. The protected complex includes an ossuary as well as a surrounding wall with gates. Those interested in the eventful history of religious buildings can also visit the synagogue in Všeradice: it was built as a wooden structure in 1817 and rebuilt in stone in 1829. Several old wooden benches with painted seat numbers have been preserved inside. The Czechoslovak Hussite Church acquired the synagogue building in 1937 and adapted it in 1938.

Nature trail, viewpoints and an underground excursion

For an active day trip, the “Naučná stezka Střecha Českého krasu” nature trail connects Všeradice and Tetín and passes over Mount Bacín. The route has eight stations and is approximately 9 kilometres long. Its starting point is about 0.5 kilometres from Všeradice railway station. On its section through Všeradice and Vinařice, the “Vintířova stezka” offers beautiful views towards Český kras.

As a separate destination in the nearby area, the Koněpruské Caves are located 8.5 kilometres from Všeradice. They contain archaeological finds as well as a medieval counterfeiters’ workshop. This adds an excursion theme combining the natural landscape with archaeology to the area’s history.

Regional flavours and special experiences

The “Dvůr Všerad” complex includes a mini-golf park and an arboretum with approximately 1,900 species of shrubs and plants. For a different way to get to know the area, there are the “Zámecký pivovar” brewery and the “U Paní Magdalény” inn: both offer “Všerada” beer as well as spirits and liqueurs produced in Všeradice. A local festive highlight is the “Všeradická pouť”, which, as in previous years, takes place at the traditional location in front of the post office on the square.
