Pacov between nature and active leisure

Pacov can be explored during your stay from two different perspectives: through distinctive natural features in the Pacov u Říčan cadastral area and through specific opportunities for exercise and shared leisure activities. This makes the town an appealing choice if you do not want to limit your stay to a single activity, but instead want to choose between observing nature, cycling, walking and sports. For orientation on site, the connection to Říčany and the location of the bus stop are also useful reference points.

Natural monuments and geological features

The tree known as Lípa v Pacově, designated as a natural monument, stands in the Pacov u Říčan cadastral area. It is a small-leaved lime that was estimated to be 250 years old on 1 January 1997. The combination of its specific name, tree species and age provides a particularly tangible connection with nature. The important geological site of Mýto includes the Pacov u Říčan cadastral area. It can be reached via a walkable tourist trail; its beginning or continuation is located more than 250 metres from the road.

Cycling trail and bus connection

The Pacov area is connected to the Říčany–Pacov cycling trail, built with support from the SFDI. The Pacov bus stop offers PID connections to the centre of Říčany. It is also within walking distance of MŠ a ZŠ NEMO. This means that Pacov offers both a documented connection to cycling and public transport towards Říčany.

Sports facilities for a range of interests

The Sportovní areál Pacov features a table tennis area, a multi-purpose court and an age-independent children's playground. It also includes a multi-purpose sports field, with badminton among its designated uses. In winter, this field is covered by an inflatable hall. For families with children, the playground is one part of the complex, while the various sports areas accommodate different forms of active leisure.

Exploring on foot or by bicycle

Another active option is to explore the Naučná stezka Říčansko on foot or by bicycle. Whether you are looking for a sporting activity at a fixed location or a route with changing impressions, Pacov therefore offers a range of options for planning your day.
