Spa Tradition and History in Lázně Toušeň

Lázně Toušeň combines a long spa tradition with historic traces and marked cycling and hiking trails. Archaeological Traces and the Chapel of Saint Florian

The archaeological remains of Hradiště Na Hradišti lie on the eastern edge of Lázně Toušeň, on a low spur above a former branch of the Elbe. The site is bounded by a ditch on its eastern side. Another historic landmark is the Neo-Gothic Chapel of Saint Florian. It was built in 1823 on the site of a wooden bell tower. In Lázně Toušeň, different historical periods thus stand side by side, from the archaeological remains to the 19th-century structure.

Cycling and Hiking Trails with Fixed Distances

Lázně Toušeň lies at the intersection of cycling routes 241 and 0019. On some maps, route 0019 is also shown as 7019. The main cycling route 241 crosses the Elbe there via a pedestrian and cycle bridge. The two route numbers and the differing map designation are therefore important reference points when planning a cycling trip using different maps.

A blue-marked hiking trail connects Královice (Brandýs) (3 km), Čelákovice (3 km), Káraný via the pedestrian bridge (1.5 km), and Brandýs n/L (5 km). A yellow-marked hiking trail leads across the pedestrian bridge over the Elbe to Káraný (1.5 km), then continues via sv. Václav (5.5 km) to Lysá nad Labem (11 km). The different distances make shorter and longer options directly comparable.

Getting There by Train or Bus

Lázně Toušeň can be reached by train with a transfer in Čelákovice. By bus, you can travel from the Prague metro stations Černý Most or Vysočanská to the town with a transfer in Brandýs nad Labem. For your planning, both a rail connection and a bus connection from Prague are therefore available, each involving one transfer.
