Jeneč is located on the western edge of Prague along the R6 road from Prague to Karlovy Vary. The Historic Village Center

The historic village center of Jeneč is defined by a Baroque agricultural farm complex at the intersection of two roads, forming a long village square. The farm complex on the village square, house number 8, is listed under state heritage register number 16257/2-2253. It comprises two administrative buildings, an agricultural building, and a niche chapel. The village center thus offers several clearly recognizable points of interest for anyone interested in historic village structures and traditional architectural forms. The arrangement around the square also makes it possible to compare different building functions: the farm complex represents agriculture, the chapel religious art, and the former post station an earlier postal function.

In the eastern part of the village square, characterized by tall trees, stands a Baroque niche chapel with a relief of the Descent from the Cross. The bell tower also features a striking detail: its wall is decorated with a 2.5-meter-high cast-iron cross with a colorfully painted figure of Christ. The former post station adds another historic accent. The detached two-story building has a rectangular floor plan and a pentagonal façade divided by six pilasters with Composite capitals. Together with the farm complex and the chapel, it makes the architectural diversity of the village clearly visible.

An Announced Festival in September 2026

The 2026 Jenečské posvícení festival has been announced for the period from September 18, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. until September 19, 2026, at 11:00 p.m. The festival includes a fair and an entertainment program on a stage. The transition from the evening of September 18 to the late evening of September 19 spreads the festival over two calendar days. The date therefore provides a clearly defined time frame for travel planning and complements the historic themes of the village with an announced event.

Railway lines No. 120 from Prague via Kladno to Rakovník and No. 121 from Hostivice via Jeneč, Podlešín, and Slaný run through Jeneč. Bus connections are available to the surrounding municipalities as well as to Prague, Kladno, and Rakovník.
