Both paths lead through the surroundings of Choryně, but differ significantly in their route length. This provides two nature trails with different distances for a walk, without their details needing to be confused with one another.

A marked cycling route runs through Choryně and connects Valašské Meziříčí with Kelč. The nearest railway station to Choryně is not in the village itself, but in Lhotka nad Bečvou, exactly 2 km from Choryně.

The Choryňská stráž protected area includes meadows with warmth-loving elements of the animal and plant life. Particularly protected species occur there. Castle history spanning several periods

Choryně Castle was converted from a fortress. At the beginning of the 19th century, it was given its present appearance under Jan Forgáč. Its later history includes a historical, not current, use: in 1882, a monastery of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross was established in the former castle of the Lords of Choryně. The building's history and uses thus comprise several clearly distinguishable stages. The original function as a fortress was followed by its conversion into a castle; later, the former castle was also used as a monastery. This sequence combines military architecture, the form it took in the early 19th century and religious use in a single building.
