Zborovice – Churches, Châteaux and Paths to the Crypt

The crypt of the Friess family, the former owners of Zborovice, stands at the highest point of the château garden. Zborovice railway station is the terminus of a 17-kilometre branch railway from Kroměříž. Both railway points are therefore part of the local orientation, with the stop in the lower part of the town explicitly distinguished from the terminus. Traditional cultural life includes a ball, a children's carnival and a ceremonial Christmas tree lighting. Amateur theatre also has a long history in Zborovice: it began in 1895 as the theatre section of Sokol. The Zborovice local branch of KČT provides another connection to hiking. It organises routes, excursions and trips to touristically interesting destinations in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Since 2021, the local branch has also been taking care of the local Hejtmanka spring. It cleans the spring several times a year, mows the grass and carries out necessary repairs.
