Hiking, forest and a trip to Brdo

Roštín combines short discoveries in the village with hiking trails through fields and forests. If you are planning a trip with children, you will also find playful features and water-based recreation here, as well as longer routes to a distinctive viewpoint.

Routes for different day plans

The blue-marked Roštínským polesím route begins in the center of Roštín and is 5 km long. In the southeast of the village, it follows paved and unpaved field and forest paths. This allows the route to combine proximity to the village with sections through the countryside, without requiring you to commit to a single type of path.

The route includes a stop at the Roštínská kaple chapel with a spring; it is suitable for families with children. A spring with fresh, clean water rises directly below the chapel. From there, you can extend your walk along the yellow-marked route to Bunč or along the green-marked route to Brdo. For a more athletic hike, the route from Roštín to Brdo is documented: As a round trip, it is 7 km long and has an elevation gain of 278 m. The 23.9 m high Brdo lookout tower stands on the mountain of the same name, which, at 587 m, is the highest peak of the Chřiby Mountains. The starting point is in the Salárna district near the Koupaliště Roštín swimming pool; parking is available there. Roštín can be reached by car or bus.

Chapel, spring and regional discoveries

The Roštínská kaple is a forest chapel with a statue of Our Lady of Loreto. It has stood in the forest behind Roštín since 1907 and gives the route a clear cultural connection. Regular church services are held at the Kostel sv. Anny church in Roštín. Between Roštín and Cetechovice, a distinctive structure stands on a small hill at a site that is now abandoned. Its present form dates from 1742, when it was almost completely rebuilt. Thus, in addition to nature trails, the surrounding area offers historical points of interest that can be incorporated into an exploration of the village.

Water-based recreation in Roštín

The Koupaliště Roštín swimming pool has a 25 m long pool with three massage jets and a water feature. For children, there is a 4 m long pool with a fish-shaped water feature. The complex also includes a beach sports court. Alongside the hiking options, these facilities offer a different way to spend the day.
