Thermal tradition and distinctive urban experiences

Teplitz-Schönau combines thermal tradition with gardens, culture and unusual discoveries. Teplice is described as the oldest spa town in the Czech Republic and probably also in Central Europe. The Thermalium brings this heritage to life: its thermal baths are filled 100% with the thermal water of the Pravřídlo Teplice spring.

The Thermalium includes a 35°C therapeutic main pool, a 29°C thermal swimming pool and a Kneipp pool with water at 40°C and 10°C, respectively. The facilities are complemented by a Finnish sauna, Finnish salt sauna, tropical sauna, bio sauna and steam bath. The temperature differences divide the bathing area into a therapeutic main pool, a thermal swimming pool and a Kneipp pool; the different sauna types and the steam bath complement the water facilities with various heat zones. When choosing your accommodation, you can therefore consider whether the thermal world should be the focus of your days or merely one part of a varied stay.

The Botanická zahrada Teplice also has a distinctive character of its own. A large tropical greenhouse showcases tropical trees, orchids, vines and other exotic plants. The grounds also host seasonal exhibitions, concerts, guided tours and themed events. Beyond the greenhouse, these seasonal programs make the garden a venue for changing cultural and specialist events. The Regional Museum in Teplice offers a cultural gateway to northwestern Bohemia and specializes in the archaeology, history and nature of the region.

Zámecká zahrada offers opportunities for walks in nature, jogging and inline skating. This allows you to include short outdoor activities in your stay without restricting it to a single theme. The observatory on Písečný vrch offers a completely different view of the surroundings. It is regularly open to the public and offers solar observations during the day. In the evening, you can observe the Moon, planets, star clusters, nebulae and galaxies there.

The two observation periods focus on different subjects: during the day, observations are directed at the Sun; in the evening, the program includes the Moon, planets, star clusters, nebulae and galaxies. The Humboldt tourist train offers a guided tour through the historic center of Teplice. The route runs across Zámecké náměstí and through Zámecká zahrada and Šanovský park to Botanická zahrada Teplice.
