Libkovice pod Řípem between Říp and Village History

Libkovice pod Řípem lies approximately four kilometres east of Říp, in a depression at an altitude of 221 metres above sea level. Protestant Church and Cemetery

Construction of the Protestant church in Libkovice pod Řípem began in 1852; it was consecrated on 4 November 1855. It was the first Protestant church in Bohemia with a tower and bells. The Protestant cemetery complements this historical sequence: it opened on 5 November 1855, one day after the ceremonial opening of the church. The church and cemetery thus belong to a directly successive historical period.

A documented cultural programme was Noc kostelů 2025 at the Protestant church. The listed buildings on the village square include the former farmstead No. 7, built in the Pseudo-Renaissance style.
