The church currently has three bells. They are dedicated to Saint Barnabas, the Holy Family and Saint John the Baptist. The church therefore offers not only an architectural feature but also a clearly identifiable sacred distinction.

The Chapel of the Virgin Mary stands on a hill between Těšany and Borkovany. It was consecrated on 13 June 1948 and built out of gratitude for the safe return of political prisoners from Těšany from concentration camps. Regular pilgrimages to this chapel take place in May. Those visiting Těšany during this period will therefore encounter a recurring religious occasion, while the hilltop location creates a distinct local connection between Těšany and Borkovany.
