Suchov at the Foot of the White Carpathians

Suchov lies on the edge of the Bílé Karpaty Protected Landscape Area and at the foot of Velká Javořina. The linear settlement slopes downward at the foot of the White Carpathians and lies on a gently rounded ridge between two streams.

Chapels and a Distinctive Local History

At the upper end of Suchov stands a chapel dating from the 15th century. The Chapel of St. Luke was consecrated on 23 October 2005. Its altar contains relics of St. John Sarkander. Since then, regular services have been held in the Chapel of St. Luke, on Sundays and Wednesdays. In addition, the “Bílé Karpaty Cycle Route – Javorník – Velká Javořina – Suchov” reaches the upper end of Suchov.
