Stálky between the Village Green and Cycling Routes

Stálky reveals its character immediately in the appearance of the village. The settlement extends on both sides of a road, along which the gabled houses are aligned. Front gardens accompany this streetscape and give the village a clearly recognisable rural structure. Another defining element is the village green of Stálky: it is a broad meadow. The broad meadow opens up the settlement pattern laid out along the road and forms an open counterpoint to the houses. For cycle tourists, two specific route details are relevant. The EuroVelo 13 section in the Znojmo region runs from Uherčice via Stálky to Šafov. The EuroVelo 13 section in the Znojmo region and the Austrian border area is 130 km long and rated with three stars.

In addition, the cycling loop from Vranov to Frejštejn passes through Stálky, where the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary stands, and then continues to Šafov. The distribution of the routes is also documented for this cycling loop: 24.60% of the route consists of field and forest paths, while 75.39% consists of roads. On this cycling loop, the proportion of roads is almost three times as high as the proportion of field and forest paths. When comparing different types of excursions, this allows you to assess the character of the route more precisely and distinguish the loop from the longer EuroVelo 13 connection.
