The church is an active parish church with regular services. Its ensemble includes the surrounding wall, an important structural and architectural element. Tombs of the owners of the Tulešice estate are arranged around the wall. A Baroque statue of St. John of Nepomuk also stands nearby. There is also a protected cross by the church; at its base are depictions of St. Mary Magdalene and an angel with a cartouche. A Holy Week tradition

During Holy Week, the boys of Horní Dubňany gather with their Hrkači at the church. They then make their way through the entire village along a traditional route, pushing the rattles known as Trakače ahead of them. This route has remained unchanged for several generations. The custom makes Holy Week in Horní Dubňany tangible as a community-oriented village tradition and distinguishes the place from a destination perceived solely through individual buildings.

The Dubňanská pouť is also part of the village’s traditional festival culture. In 2015, it was held in honor of Peter and Paul as an annual pilgrimage.
