Glass history and historical traces

The Sklářské muzeum in Lenora is housed in the municipal office building. It preserves objects from approximately 1880 to 1980 and documents the production of a major glassworks during more than one hundred years of its existence. The collection thus covers approximately a century of glass production. In addition to visiting the Glass Museum, you can also visit a small glassworks in Lenora. Another historical trace is the Rechle, built in 1870. Those interested in crafts and local history will find several different ways to explore them here, rather than just a single attraction.

Bread baking as part of the local tradition

Traditional baking in Lenora’s communal oven includes wheat-rye bread, bread rolls, garlic flatbreads and Dalamánky. Public bread-baking demonstrations generally take place from April to December on the last Saturday of each month. Fresh baked goods are available for tasting from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. At the public demonstrations, tasting fresh baked goods is part of the experience alongside the baking itself.
