Štěnovický Borek consists of two almost interconnected villages laid out as linear villages. The term refers to a village structure in which development took place along a road. Among the most notable historical landmarks is a large Baroque granary. It survives as a remnant of the former farmstead and thus points to the area's earlier agricultural use. House No. 16 is also noteworthy: it is one of the well-preserved Neoclassical farmsteads with gateways along the road toward Tymákov. These buildings shape the historic village character with Baroque and Neoclassical forms.

Further traces can be found at the Džbánek archaeological site. The remains of an abandoned medieval settlement, a farmstead, and a fortress have been preserved there. For visitors interested in culture, this creates a broad historical span: from medieval settlement remains and the former farmstead to Baroque and Neoclassical buildings.

Forests, Fields, and Bodies of Water

The municipality lies in a gently rolling, agriculturally shaped landscape with a high proportion of forests and bodies of water. The landscape is characterized by a succession of forests, large arable fields, grassland, and smaller groups of water bodies. The Chapel of Saint Adalbert is a Category II state cultural monument. Planiny is also home to the Baroque octagonal Chapel of Saint Adalbert, built in 1685. A pilgrimage takes place at this chapel every year on the second Sunday after the feast of Saint Adalbert. This recurring event complements the permanently preserved architectural and cultural heritage with a religious tradition.

For a trip with children, the children's event “Pohádkový les” offers a distinct experience. It begins at the sports field in Štěnovický Borek; the route then leads past stations featuring fairy-tale characters and various tasks. Refreshments are available at the event in Planiny, including draught beer, lemonade, and smoked sausages.
