Březinky: Nature Park and Marked Trails
Natural surroundings around Březinky
Březinky represents a landscape where hiking, cycling, and local discoveries can be combined. Bohdalov-Hartinkov Nature Park extends across the municipality of Březinky. Its landscape includes forests, meadows, and waterways. At the same time, the nature park offers good conditions for hiking and cycling. This makes the location suitable both for active days and for a trip focused on the landscape. The nature park forms the scenic setting, while the marked routes indicate specific paths at individual locations within the municipality.
Marked trails and specific landscape experiences
In Březinky, hiking trails run through different areas. One hiking route runs along the edge of Březinky beside a pond called “rybník Březinky.” In the Nectava local district, a blue-marked hiking trail also runs through the district. The eponymous Nectava stream flows there. The two trails are therefore located in different parts of Březinky: one route runs along the pond at the edge of the settlement, while the other trail passes through Nectava. Those traveling on foot can thus choose between a section by the water and a blue-marked trail in the local district.
Cyclists can also find a specific connection through the village: a marked local cycling route passes through Březinky. It therefore differs from the hiking route along the edge of the settlement, which follows the pond, and from the blue-marked hiking trail in the Nectava local district. This provides a separate marked route through Březinky for exploring the area by bicycle.
Another hiking-related feature is the III “Setkání na hranici obcí” walk. For this event, the meeting point and destination were at the forest area “Na Bráně.” During this walk, the forest area served both as the starting point and as the destination.
Chapel and local traditions
Among Březinky’s cultural features is a chapel that was repaired in 1980. It adds a small historical reference in the village to the nature-related attractions. The traditional public festival “Pálení Čarodějnic” is also part of the local traditions. It was planned for April 30, 2025, behind the cultural center in Březinky by SDH Březinky and Nectava. Competitions for children, as well as grilled mackerel, smoked sausages, draft beer, and lemonade, were planned. The local events also have different venues: the festival was planned behind the cultural center, while the walk began and ended at the forest area “Na Bráně.” Since this date is in the past, it should be understood as an earlier plan, not as a current event announcement.
