Around 1465, the Lords of Bukůvka acquired the nearby “Jilovka” fortress along with the adjoining Skříní Pond. The “Jilovka” fortress could only be accessed via a wooden bridge. This historical feature gives the village’s history a clear connection to the water and to the construction methods of the time, without implying that it is a possible access route today. The villagescape also contains tangible evidence of different periods. Bukovka is home to a Neo-Gothic wayside shrine dating from 1872. There is also a liberation monument on the village square. The Evangelical Church as a Cultural Venue

The Evangelical Reformed Church was built in 1859–1861 on the site of a wooden prayer house. On 29 May 2026, the church was included in the programme of the Night of Churches; a music programme took place there from 18:00 to 20:00. From spring to autumn, services are regularly held in the Evangelical Church on Sundays at 9:30.
