Rivers, floodplain forests and cycling routes

Troubky can be explored through its waterways, floodplain forests and cultural monuments. The confluence of the Morava and Bečva rivers is described as a natural attraction of Troubky. The Cyklostezka Bečva also runs through the cadastral area. Its regional, relatively easy section along the Bečva is intended for cyclists and pedestrians; with a suitable surface, it can also be used with inline skates.

For more cycling ideas, the Moravská stezka crosses the southern part of the cadastral area. A local cycling route through the floodplain forests of Troubky leads towards Chropyně or Lobodice. The different routes help you assess the landscape you would like to experience for your plans in advance, without equating the routes. This allows you to distinguish the paths by landscape character and preferred type of activity, without treating them as a single route.

Nature around the weir and river

The Troubky weir, with a small hydroelectric power plant, offers interesting landscape views. The National Nature Reserve of Zástudánčí is another natural attraction in the vicinity of Troubky. Its remoteness and difficult accessibility make Zástudánčí one of the most important quiet zones for disturbance-sensitive bird species. A small population of Kessler's gudgeon lives in the reserve.

Baroque art and memorial sites

The statue of St. Amand stands in the local cemetery in Troubky. It is a listed cultural monument and a High Baroque work from the mid-18th century attributed to B. Fritsch. The statue commemorates the averting of a plague epidemic and was moved to the local cemetery at the beginning of the 20th century. The park in front of the school contains the statue of St. Florian, a listed cultural monument and a high-quality Baroque work dating from around 1750. After restoration, it was moved from Dřevohostice to Troubky in 1970. Another listed cultural monument in the local cemetery commemorates six American airmen and an aerial battle over the municipality's territory on 17 December 1944. Next to the church stands a 1922 memorial to those who fell in the First World War, bearing the names and photographs of 57 fallen residents. A memorial to the victims of the 1997 floods stands in the park by the cultural centre.

Church history and living traditions

The church of St. Margaret, “Kostel sv. panny a mučednice Markéty,” in Troubky existed by 1672 at the latest; at that time, it was a small church with one altar and two bells. Construction of the new building began in 1870, and it was solemnly consecrated on 7 July 1872. The Hanák folklore ensemble provides a cultural counterpoint to the architectural history: it preserves the folk traditions of Hanna through Hanakian songs and dances and performs at regional and international folklore festivals.
