Discover Příšovice

Příšovice combines water activities, historic buildings and a developing cycling connection into a diverse destination in the Czech Republic. Here, you can choose between activities at Velký and Malý Písečák, several notable sites associated with the town’s history, and arriving by train or following new cycling routes.

Water activities ranging from swimming and fishing to windsurfing

Velký Písečák covers 28.1 hectares and is used for swimming and fishing. It is also used for windsurfing. Windsurfing complements swimming and fishing with an active use of the water surface.

Malý Písečák offers another clearly defined special feature. The western shore areas can be used as a naturist beach. Naturism here refers to using the beach without swimwear and is expressly limited to this shore area. The new cycling paths for pedestrians and cyclists also connect the centre of Příšovice with the Písečáky.

The town’s history across several periods

The Church of St Lawrence dates from the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries and was remodelled in the Renaissance style in the 16th century. Bičíkův statek was built before 1600 and is a state-protected monument.

The chapel is a Neo-Gothic building dating from 1883–1884, while the vicarage dates from the second half of the 18th century. Neo-Gothic refers to an architectural style that revived forms of medieval Gothic in the 19th century. In addition, archaeological evidence of human presence from Příšovice is part of the exhibition at the Muzeum Českého ráje in Turnov. Those interested in history will therefore find not just a single building, but different historical periods as well as a connection to the exhibition in Turnov.

Arriving and using cycling routes for orientation

For travel by train, Příšovice railway station is located on line 070 “(Praha–) Praha-Čakovice–Turnov”. Příšovice is therefore situated on a connection between Praha-Čakovice and Turnov. Access to the station building or its covered waiting area is accessible.

There is also a specific development for planning a trip by bicycle: The section between Přepeře and Příšovice is another part of the developing GW Jizera main route from Turnov to the border of the Liberecký kraj. This route is under construction. The local connection concerns the centre and the Písečáky, while the Přepeře–Příšovice section forms part of the longer route from Turnov to the border of the Liberecký kraj. The two cycling connections have different ranges: The local connection remains between the town centre and the Písečáky, while the Přepeře–Příšovice section is incorporated into the longer route from Turnov to the border of the Liberecký kraj.
