The two-winged colonnade in Lázně Libverda was built in 1847. It features Doric columns and decorative gloriettes, making its architecture particularly vivid. However, the history of the town goes back even further: the first historical mention of Lázně Libverda dates from 1381. The historic townscape is complemented by a Classicist chateau used as a spa house. The Uhličité koupele facility is also part of Lázně Libverda’s spa profile. The building has 17 tubs for carbon dioxide baths. This means that the town can be experienced not only through its buildings, but also through specific elements of its spa tradition, without requiring a purely cultural day itinerary.

Outdoor activities and facilities for children

For active hours, there is the Fit stezka zdraví a poznání. It has eight modern stations for outdoor training and is free of charge for guests and local residents. The Relax stezka has a different focus: there you will find outdoor activities, a large memory game, reflexology paths and activities for children.

Singltrek and trails in the Jizera Mountains

Lázně Libverda has an access point to Singltrek pod Smrkem. This trail network is the first Singltrek destination in the Czech Republic and lies below Mount Smrk in the wild landscape on the northern slopes of the Jizera Mountains. If you consider cycling an important part of your stay, this specific connection to the town is particularly relevant when choosing your destination. There is also a longer route for hikers: the Lázně Libverda–Smrk route is 20 kilometres long and of moderate difficulty. It complements the activity options in the town with a clearly designated tour featuring its own length and difficulty rating.

Above Lázně Libverda is the Obří sud excursion restaurant, built in 1931. Obří sud is located along marked hiking and cycling trails. From there, you can enjoy a view of the Jizera Mountains. This place therefore combines a historic building with a location on designated trails and a specific view of the landscape. The Vyhlídka Libverdských pramenů offers a different perspective. From there, visitors can look out over the spa grounds of Lázně Libverda with its colonnade and park, as well as over the Jizera Mountains. This allows you to take in both the immediate design of the spa grounds and the landscape on the horizon.
