Železná hůrka and Cycling Route No. 2129

A prominent geological theme is Železná hůrka. It is located in the municipality of Lipová, in the Mýtina I cadastral area. As a national nature monument (NPP), it is protected and is considered one of the youngest Czech volcanoes that were still active in the Quaternary. In addition, Železná hůrka is designated as a geotourism attraction and an excursion site. This gives trip planning a clear geological focus.

For cycling days, local Cycling Route No. 2129 offers a precisely distinguishable choice of route. It is 22 km long; with detours, the length is up to 38 km. The route is suitable for trekking bikes and mountain bikes and was extended from Lipová to Úbočí in 2015. The extension from Lipová to Úbočí also marks the geographical course of the route. The two length figures help you distinguish a more compact loop from a version with additional detours and adapt the planned route to the time available.

Village History in Doubrava and Orientation Along the Hiking Trail

Historical village culture is concentrated at Rustlerův statek in Doubrava. The farm complex dates from 1751 and now serves as an open-air museum. The museum presents agriculture, folk life and furniture from the 18th to the 20th century. This time span combines the presentation of the rural working and living environment with furniture from several centuries. For a trip with an interest in history, Doubrava is a distinct focus.

The Via Czechia hiking trail passes through Lipová u Chebu railway station, which is located at route kilometre 61.3. Another fixed reference point is the rural farm complex in Doubrava, located 1 km south of Lipová u Chebu railway station. Anenská pouť in Lipová

A separate date on the calendar was the traditional Anenská pouť in Lipová on 24 and 25 July 2026. The festival took place on these two days; its programme included music, fairground attractions, exhibitions, sports and entertainment for the whole family. The combination of several types of programme made the event interesting for travel groups with different compositions, as cultural, active and entertaining offerings stood side by side.
