Brzice

Hiking Trails Through the Běluňka Valley and Beyond

The red-marked hiking trail leads through the Běluňka Valley from Brzice via Žďár and Harcov to Běluň. Another, yellow-marked hiking trail leads from Brzice via Harcov and Liščí hora to Kocbeře. It takes a different direction from the trail through the Běluňka Valley and passes over Liščí hora.

The blue-marked hiking trail leads from Brzice via Proruby and Maršov u Úpice to Úpice. For orientation on a longer tour, the route “Chvalkovice–Hořičky and back through the Běluňka Valley” is also interesting: it reaches Brzice at kilometer 11 and then continues through the Běluňka Valley. The kilometer indication belongs to this route and does not denote the length of an individual hiking trail in Brzice.

Cycling and the Watercourse Near the Village

The surrounding area can also be explored by bicycle. Cycling route 4097 leads through Proruby to Komárov; both villages are districts of Brzice. It therefore connects Proruby and Komárov within Brzice.

The Běluňka stream flows in the immediate vicinity of Brzice and is a tributary of the Úpa. Together with the hiking trails through the Běluňka Valley, it forms a tangible landscape connection to the village. On the village square in Brzice, timber-framed houses and other buildings form part of the traditional folk architecture.
