Dolní Přím – Castle History, Monuments and Forest Educational Trail

Dolní Přím combines castle history, memorial sites and a forest educational trail into a diverse destination. The town is located approximately 10 kilometres west of Hradec Králové in the direction of Nový Bydžov. Among the smaller but clearly designated cultural landmarks is the statue of Saint John of Nepomuk. It is listed as an immovable cultural monument. The municipality of Dolní Přím also contains two monuments with different forms and inscriptions. Monument IR 74 is a sandstone obelisk on a pedestal featuring a large relief of the Austrian eagle, along with Czech and German inscriptions on cast-iron plaques. The U sv. Aloise monument is a sandstone cross on a pedestal with black granite plaques in Czech and German.

Landscape and Forest Educational Trail

The municipality of Dolní Přím, together with its administratively affiliated parts, lies within the “Battlefield of the Battle of Hradec Králové” landscape heritage zone. This designation adds a landscape-based historical context to the castle and monument themes.
