The first written mention of Rokytovec dates from 1322; Mikota of Rokytovec belongs to this early chapter of the village's history. Later, in 1556, Václav Procek of Cetně had the Rokytovec fortress built. After the fortress lost its importance, it was probably demolished or converted into a granary.
