Discover Radonice: Horse Riding, Animal Park and Culture
For families, Radonice combines active pursuits, encounters with animals and cultural discoveries without limiting the destination to a single experience. These themes complement one another without offering the same experience: horse care, sports, observing animals and local history each have their own focus.
Horse Riding, Sports and Activities
Jízdárna Radonice offers the public comprehensive classical horse-riding training. Its riding school teaches horse riding, including the basics of horse care. In addition to riding instruction, this means that knowledgeable handling of horses is also part of the knowledge taught.
Sportcentrum Radonice complements this selection with outdoor tennis, table tennis and beach volleyball. The Sportcentrum Radonice grounds also contain Tanzania Jump, an indoor trampoline hall for children. This provides both outdoor sports activities and a dedicated activity for children. The sports activities differ in form: tennis and beach volleyball take place outdoors, table tennis complements the selection, and Tanzania Jump moves the physical activity indoors to a trampoline hall for children.
Culture and Events Throughout the Year
Traditional events take place regularly in Radonice throughout the year. These include the burning of witches, Children's Day, a parents' evening, the church fair and an outdoor Christmas theatre performance by local amateur actors. The events combine local customs with social occasions and are spread throughout the year. They therefore bring together traditional customs, children's events, social occasions and a Christmas theatre format.
The Radonice Cultural Centre consists of the Obecní dům and Rodinný park Amerika. Both facilities serve cultural and social events as well as leisure activities. The cultural centre therefore comprises venues and an area for leisure activities.
Animal Encounters and Local History
At Zoopark Radonice, visitors can pet some animals during feeding. Various bird, domestic and wild animal species can be seen at ZOOPark Radonice; visitors can move freely around the zoo park grounds.
The local history is also concrete: Radonice's former fortress has completely disappeared. Houses No. 22, 23, 25 and 41 now stand in its place, along with a well, an inaccessible remnant of a cellar and a presumed filled-in underground passage. You will therefore not find a preserved fortress complex here, but rather individual structural traces and an explicitly inaccessible remnant of a cellar.
