The combination of the summit, steep southwestern and southern slopes, basalt rock, plants growing on diabase and the abandoned quarry gives the natural area several distinguishable features. Anyone exploring the geological site on foot can use the accessible tourist trail from the road and view the terrain, rock and vegetation together.

Archaeological traces near Otmíče

The Otmíčská hora archaeological area in Otmíče is classified as a significant archaeological site (ÚAN I). The ramparts of Hradiště Otmíčská hora, located in the north and east, are particularly striking: they are clearly visible and 4–5 m wide.

The small La Tène-period Hradiště near Otmíče covers approximately 2.8 hectares. It consists of an acropolis and possibly outer baileys to the northeast and east, and is surrounded by stone ramparts. Archaeological finds indicate that the settlement of Otmíče is older than the stated date. For those interested in regional history, this creates a concrete picture of the site's earlier use without requiring the individual findings to be supplemented with an unsupported reconstruction.

The chapel on the village square

The Chapel of St. John of Nepomuk is located in the developed area of Otmíče, on the village square. The chapel is a masonry building with a rectangular ground plan, a three-sided termination and a small bell tower rising from the roof ridge. Hiking trails and orientation

The geological site of Otmíčská hora can be reached from the road via an accessible tourist trail. In addition, a marked blue hiking trail leads from Žebrák via Chlustina, Praskolesy and Otmíče to Lochovice. If you prefer to plan your route through several places, this trail provides a clearly described connection; for immediate orientation at the geological site, the accessible trail from the road is the specifically indicated access route.
