Mirosovice – Educational Trail, Water and Regional Discoveries
Mirosovice brings together several clearly distinct reasons to travel: the “Krajinou barona Ringhoffera” educational trail, a body of water in the western part of the town, sports opportunities and regional cultural destinations. This creates a clear choice for travel planning between outdoor activities, water, indoor team sports and historical or cultural discoveries.
Educational Trail and Spring Event
The “Krajinou barona Ringhoffera” educational trail begins in Mirošovice and ends in Kamenice. Along the trail there are 10 information boards or stations. The route therefore connects a clearly defined starting point and endpoint with ten stations where the exploration can be divided into individual sections. The name is also associated with a spring event: “Krajinou barona Ringhoffera” begins on foot or by bicycle in Mirošovice, has opened the tourism season in Ladův kraj since 2005 and usually takes place on the last weekend in April. When planning a spring stay, the route is linked to a seasonal date, while the event itself begins on foot or by bicycle.
Water and Sports
Štičí rybník is a 16,500 m² body of water in the western part of Mirošovice. In Mirošovice, it is one of the bodies of water used for swimming and ice skating. In addition, the sports hall of ZŠ Mirošovice is open to the public Monday to Friday from 14:00 to 21:00; by arrangement, it can also be used at other times. Activities include volleyball, basketball, Nohejbal, small-sided football, floorball and table tennis. The body of water and the hall therefore suit different daily plans: swimming or ice skating outdoors, and team games and table tennis indoors.
Getting to Mirošovice
If you are travelling by car, Mirošovice is connected to the road network via D1 exit 21. At the interchange, the motorway connects with road I/3 towards Benešov and České Budějovice. Rail is also part of the documented transport connections: as part of Pražská integrovaná doprava, Mirošovice is connected to the Praha–Benešov railway service, route 221. Mirošovice is therefore integrated into different travel routes by road and rail.
Destinations in the Nearby and Wider Surrounding Area
In the vicinity of Mirošovice are Lipový vrch [Pyšely] and Milíř [Velké Popovice-Lojovice]. Vysoký les [Klokočná] and (Na Marjánce) [Zvánovice] are located in the surrounding area of Mirošovice. In the wider regional area are Práče Fortress, Palác Kinských, the Golz-Kinsky Palace and Galerie Rudolfinum. This makes it possible to include nature and cultural destinations with different spatial classifications in your personal travel plans. Nature destinations in the immediate vicinity and cultural destinations in the wider regional area can form different focal points of a stay.
In the town itself, the “Pomník Obětem 1. a 2. světové války” monument commemorates those who fell as well as victims of Nazi German violence during the occupation from 1939 to 1945. This historical connection complements the nature and sports themes with a place of remembrance in the town. When choosing accommodation, you can therefore first determine your preferred focus: the educational trail and body of water in Mirošovice, sports facilities in the town or destinations in the nearby or wider surrounding area.
