The former parish school building on Bartolomějské návrší offers another insight and houses an interactive exhibition. The bell tower preserves the church treasury and a lapidarium. It also offers a view of Kolín city center. The hill thus combines several different ways of exploring the area, without restricting you to a single museum experience. This allows you to emphasize different aspects of the visit: the church treasury and lapidarium draw attention to preserved objects, while the view takes in the urban area as a whole.

Historical Exhibitions in Kolín

The Veigertovský dům houses an exhibition in its Gothic cellars on the historical and architectural development of the building from the 13th to the 21st century. It includes numerous archaeological finds from 2014–2015, as well as a model illustrating the appearance of the building at the beginning of the 19th century. Concerts, occasional prayers and memorial services commemorating the victims of the Holocaust are held in Kolín Synagogue, dating from 1422. The two sites focus on different aspects of architectural history, archaeology and memorial culture.

Vodní svět Kolín offers an indoor swimming pool, an outdoor swimming pool, sports facilities, wellness services and a swimming school. The Kolínská řepařská drážka includes excursion trains, a museum exhibition about sugar beet railways and a children's park. This makes it possible to complement cultural sightseeing with water-based activities or an excursion with a clear family focus.

The Kolínská řepařská drážka is a 4.5 km narrow-gauge railway for passenger services from Kolín to Býchory station; the train journey takes approximately 50 minutes. The specific route length and approximate journey time also provide clear guidance for assessing this excursion.
