Zádveřice – Church, Mineral Springs and Trails

Zádveřice combines remarkable cultural heritage with clearly described routes through the countryside. An Evangelical church, an exhibition about emigration to America, an educational trail to five mineral springs, and regional hiking and cycling routes give your stay a range of different focuses. The Zádveřice stop is located on regional railway line No. 331 between Otrokovice, Zlín, and Vizovice.

Church, Vicarage and Monuments

The Evangelical church in Zádveřice was built in its present form between 1860 and 1869 after a fire. Its tower houses three bells that are still in use and are probably among the oldest bells in the entire Evangelical Church. In addition to its visible appearance, the building therefore has a special historical detail that adds to the local history beyond the period of its construction. The present form of the church dates from between 1860 and 1869, while the exhibition in the vicarage extends in its subject matter into the 20th century.

A permanent exhibition in the vicarage documents emigration from Zádveřice and the surrounding area to America in the 19th and 20th centuries. It places the village within a history spanning several generations and a long period of time. Other designated cultural heritage sites include House No. 124 with part of its farm buildings in Zádveřické paseky, which is listed as a cultural monument. A barn in Zádveřice is also included among the area’s immovable monuments. The monuments are thus distributed between Zádveřice and Zádveřické paseky.

To Five Mineral Springs along the Horský potok

The Chodníček za sirnými studánkami is an approximately 2-kilometre educational trail that provides access to five mineral springs along the Horský potok. The marked trail runs in one direction and has two stations and two starting points: at the Zádveřice, paseky bus stop or at a car park on the road to Luhačovice.

Three of the five springs are covered; visitors can rest on new wooden benches at three of the springs.

Hiking, Cycling and Regional Orientation

A marked hiking route runs through Raková as part of the connection from Vizovice via Slušovice to Jasenná. The marked regional cycling route No. 471 also runs through Zádveřice as part of the Otrokovice–Zlín–Vizovice connection. The two routes therefore offer different ways of exploring the surroundings: a hiking connection through Raková and a designated cycling route through Zádveřice. The railway line and cycling route both refer to the same Otrokovice–Zlín–Vizovice connection, while the hiking route leads via Slušovice to Jasenná.

A new pump track has been built in Zádveřice-Raková. The Zádveřice pump track is located at Zádveřice 43 next to the football stadium and the new multi-purpose sports field. A pump track is a riding track with waves and curves.
