Boršice u Blatnice combines distinctive natural features, living local customs and a layered cultural history. The connection to the cycle path towards Hluk is also of interest when planning the further course of your trip. In addition, the Strážnická vinařská stezka wine trail branches off here and leads via Boršice u Blatnice towards Hluk. This makes it possible to compare different ways of getting around and discovering the area without separating the local destinations from one another.

A Church, Wayside Shrines and a Valuable Testimony to the Region

The Church of St Catherine is protected as a cultural monument in Boršice u Blatnice. The present single-nave late Baroque church, with its four-sided tower, was built in 1788. Above the village, on the road to Blatnice, the Boží muka wayside shrines also stand on a hill. Another historical connection leads to the Boršický kancionál hymnal: it was written and illuminated in Boršice u Blatnice from 1727 to 1733 and is regarded as evidence of the development of Moravian national ornamentation.

Local culture is particularly vividly presented at the Dům lidových tradic. The restored late-19th-century building is housed in the oldest house in Boršice u Blatnice. In three exhibition sections, it presents traditional housing, folk costumes and a traditional black kitchen. The kitchen contains equipment for cooking fruit spreads and drying fruit and is designed for processing local products such as apples, plums and pears. Local Festivals and Culinary Traditions

Kateřinské hody is one of the recurring local traditions. The programme includes a procession in traditional costumes, dance music and a mass at the Church of St Catherine. Boršický fašank is also a recurring local procession tradition; municipal announcements documented it for 2025 and 2026. The procession begins at the fire station, followed by music at the village tavern.

Nedělní cukrárna is another recurring local culinary event. The fourth edition was announced for 2025 and the fifth for 2026. The modern Víno Zlomek & Vávra winery in Boršice u Blatnice has been part of the Hudba na vinicích open-air concert series since 2023. For the traditional Hasičský ples fire brigade ball, an evening was planned for 24 January 2026 in the hall of the Boršice u Blatnice cultural centre, with live music, refreshments and kitchen specialities.
